ABOUT US
The passion for quality education and human resource development primarily motivated the Managing Director, Mr Sammy Otoo to establish Sammo High School, Bakaano Campus (Cape Coast) in September, 1997.
This noble idea was nurtured against the background of falling standards of education in the country following the mass exodus of teachers to the neighbouring countries.
The main focus was to provide ideal facilities and congenial atmosphere for the training of children particularly the unfortunate ones who could not qualify to some well-endowed schools in the country as well as brilliant but needy children.
COURSES OF STUDY
The school runs a three – year Senior Secondary/Senior High course and prepares students to sit for the West African Examination Council Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the following disciplines – General Science, General Art, Business/commerce, Home Economics and Visual Arts.
Sammo students enter institutions of high education like the universities, polytechnics or (nursing) training colleges after successfully completing the WASSCE. The Elective subjects in the various disciplines are:
